2009 United Way Day of Caring and National United We Serve Day a Huge Success!

At the Vince Carter Sanctuary, our new inpatient addiction treatment facility, 12 volunteers from:  Energizer Personal Care – Ormond Beach, Fifth Third Bank , and VyStar Credit Union set up for a fundraiser for Recovery Month The CME event about prescription drug abuse took place the next day where over 60 medical and mental health professionals learned the facts related to “The Silent Epidemic”.  Fifth Third Bank also generously donated items requested on our wish list.  Thank you for everything!

Three projects were accomplished on Friday because of over 30 volunteers. At Project WARM, our program for pregnant and post-partum women with addiction issues, we painted not only the back deck but the transitional housing decks across the street. 19 volunteers from Publix worked so hard they finished the Day of Caring Project and the Make a Difference Day project in just 4 hours! Thank you PublixTeam!

The Team from VCS, Energizer Personal Care, Fifth Third Bank and VyStar Credit Union did a terrific job! The team from Fifth Third Bank also donated items from our Wish List! Daytona Beach West Rotary Club Gingerbread Magic

The Daytona Beach West Rotary Club once again invites us to the annual Gingerbread Magic event which takes place 11/23 - 12/23 this holiday season at Volusia Mall in Daytona Beach which not only builds community spirit and creativity but provides funds for our women and children's treatment program. Women Assisting Recovering Mothers (WARM) and other projects like it survive because of donations like these. Volunteers are a big help during this project and if you would like to assist in this effort, please contact us. Stewart-Marchman-Act Behavioral Healthcare would like to thank the Volusia Magazine, especially Stefanie Strong, and Andrew Cardona for creating a video of this event.

Day of Caring 2008 garden rehabilitation project with Target

Painless Ways to Help our Programs

Stewart-Marchman-Act is registered with the following ways to support our non-profit agency: OneCause, Good Search, Office Depot, Campbell's Soup Labels, BoxTops4Education.  Money you already spend will come right back to us in so many ways.  Or, if you auction things on EBay, choose us to receive a percentage to come back to us.  So, collect your labels and shop on-line at the auctions on Ebay or with OneCause or Good Search and portions of your purchases will come back to us.  The FACT Team collects aluminum cans all year long to pay for their holiday events. Thanks to all who donate their cans for this cause. It's easy and it's money you are already spending!  Click HERE if you would like to view our WISH list. If you have questions, contact us.

Make a Difference Day 2008

Make a Difference Day 2008 with Port Orange Church of Christ

Port Orange Church of Christ adopted our Make a Difference Day Project!  Home Depot of Port Orange and Daytona Beach donated $125 worth of mulch and plants!  Florida Rock Industries gave us a truckload of rocks at a greatly reduced price!

15 volunteers including Pat Dewsbury, Chet Bell and Linda Sanchez helped out at our Pinegrove facility on Saturday.  We relandscaped the front of the entire building.  Doug from facilities brought donuts, coffee and worked very hard making sure we had all the tools we needed.  He also worked right along with the volunteers cleaning up areas that hadn't been touched for years.

Staff came out and thanked our volunteers, too.  And, one nurse even took care of our electrolytes and vitamins by supplying much needed Gatoraid. Silly Mary was only thinking about sugar, caffeine, hot dogs and beans!  "Vitamins never crossed my mind.  Nurses are awesome!"

In just four hours we cleaned up Pinegrove.  There are many more projects to do.  If you have a group that needs community service hours, contact us

Thank you to everyone for helping MAKE A DIFFERENCE!
