Unit Manager                Florida Hospital Deland                Salary: $33,092.80-$37,440.00/exempt

(# 2308 – Deland; 40hrs/week; 8a-5p Mon-Fri w/call responsibilities)

Minimum Qualifications:  Graduation from an accredited school with a Master’s degree in Social Work; current Florida licensure as a clinical social worker required plus two years of clinical behavioral health experience. One year supervisory experience desirable.  Knowledge of the clinical assessment process, treatment planning, and conducting therapy sessions.  Ability to express oneself clearly and concisely both orally and in writing.  The ability to write professional reports.  Ability to maintain an effective working relationship with clients, co-workers, professionals, and the general public in a tactful and courteous manner.  Ability to handle verbally and/or physically abusive and aggressive clients and use approved aggression control techniques to ensure the safety and well-being of the client, other clients, and employees.

 

 

Adult Drug Court Counselor/Case Manager         Salary: $24,606.40- $30,742.40/exempt

(#2305 – Palatka: 40hrs/week; Saturday work required)

Minimum Qualifications: Bachelor’s degree from an accredited university in a related field and two years experience working with adult felony offenders or in the addictions field. Criminal Justice Addictions Professionals (CJAP) credential (preferred) or Certified Addictions Professional (CAP) credential or in active pursuit of CJAP or CAP and has completed more than 50% of the necessary requirements for certification.  Must be knowledgeable and demonstrate competence in current principals and practices including all aspects of providing treatment services to adults suffering from substance abuse and related issues. Must be familiar with and demonstrate competence in various treatment modalities and therapy models useful in the clinical and behavioral management of adults. Must be able to document and have adequate command of the written word; is self-sufficient and self-motivated; and be able to track and demonstrate their work is self-sustaining and self-supporting with the revenues generated by their work. 

 

 

First Contact Specialist       PT                                                         Salary: $10.99-$17.14/non-exempt

(#2306 – Daytona, 32hrs/week, night and weekend work)

Minimum Qualifications:  Graduation from an accredited school with a Bachelor's or Master's degree in social work, psychology, mental health, addictions, or related field. Any equivalent combination of education, training, and experience which provides the following knowledge, abilities, and skills may be substituted for the degree requirement. Knowledge of mental illness, addictions, co-occuring disorders and treatment techniques.

Knowledge of Marchman Act, substance abuse principals and practice Knowledge of Baker Act, voluntary and involuntary admission process including Ex-Parte. Knowledge of community resources Knowledge of admission criteria and general overview of all programs within SMA Behavioral Healthcare. Knowledge of insurance practices and ability to obtain eligibility information and initial authorizations. Skill in interviewing, assessing, and referring callers with substance abuse or mental health issues to the appropriate service/program. Skill in counseling and working with callers in psychiatric crisis. Skill in active intervention techniques with the suicidal caller. Must have excellent verbal and communication skills. Must have the ability to type and enter and analyze data on the SMA Behavioral computer system. Must have the ability to schedule clients for outpatient appointments. Must have ability to communicate with both internal and external customers and maintain cooperative relationships. Must have the ability to develop community relationships with community partners. Must have the ability to operate standard office equipment and type a minimum of 30 words per minute.

 

 

Youth Specialist              Oaks                                                       Salary: $9.02-$10.20/non-exempt

Minimum Qualifications:   Possession of a high school degree or equivalent.  Must demonstrate an aptitude and ability to work with the adolescent population. Must complete and pass all DJJ training requirements.  Some knowledge of the human services field and the application of basic client care skills. Some knowledge of communicable diseases. Ability to defuse potentially dangerous situations, and remain calm in an emergency. Ability to utilize behavior management techniques and serve as a role model. Ability to communicate effectively in person and in writing with the public, clinical professionals, and outside agencies.

 

 

Youth Specialist      FT/ ROC            RAP                   Salary: $9.02-$10.20/non-exempt

Some knowledge of the human services field and the application of basic client care.  Ability to utilize behavior management techniques and serve as a role model.  Ability to communicate effectively in person and in writing with the public, clinical professionals and outside agencies.  Ability to prepare and maintain written documentation.  Ability to handle verbally and/ or physically abusive and  clients and utilize aggression control techniques to ensure the safety and well being of the clients, other clients and employees in the unit. Must be able to operate a motor vehicle pursuant to the agency's insurance standards.

 

 

Behavioral Health Tech        PT      Pinegrove       Salary range: $8.18-$9.24/non-exempt

Minimum Qualifications: Possession of a high school diploma or equivalent and 6 months of related human services experience or any equivalent combination of education, training and experience which provides the following knowledge, skills, and abilities: Some knowledge of the human services field and the application of basic client care skills.  Ability to utilize behavior management techniques and serve as a role model. Ability to communicate effectively in person and in writing with the public, clinical professionals, and outside agencies. Ability to communicate effectively with suicidal, mentally, emotionally, and/or psychologically disturbed clients in person and over the telephone. EMT                                                                                   Salary range: $ 9.47- $10.72/non-exempt

(#2310 – Bunnell, 40 hrs/week; 8a-4:30p Mon-Fri)

Minimum Qualifications:  Graduate of Emergency Medical Technician training program. Current Florida Certification of Emergency Medical Technician. Experience in chemical dependency health care desirable. Must be knowledgeable and demonstrate competency  in current principles and practices related to health care of chemically dependent adults who may have a mental health diagnosis. Demonstrates ability to retrieve and enter data as needed.  Demonstrates use and function of all medical equipment.  Demonstrates telephone etiquette, able to enter voice mail system, able to enter overhead paging system.  Demonstrates knowledge and competency in implementing universal precautions at all times.

 

 

Licensed Practical Nurse   PT                                       Salary range: $11.83 – $13.39/non-exempt

Minimum Qualifications:  Graduate of  accredited  Licensed Practical Nursing College. Current Florida LPN licensure. Must be knowledgeable and demonstrate competency in current principles and practice related to health care of adults who may be chemically dependent or who may have a mental health diagnosis, as well as adolescents who may be chemically affected, have mental health disorders and be involved with the Juvenile Justice System.  Knowledgeable of and functions within the organizational chain of command.  

 

 

       

RN    ROC                                                                                   Salary: $22.00/non-exempt  

 (#2297 – Daytona, Detox/Emergency Services, Relief-On-Call hours as needed)

Minimum Qualifications: Graduate of Associate of Science in nursing degree program.  Current Florida RN license. Current CPR/First Aid Certificate.  Must be knowledgeable and demonstrate competency in current principles and practices of health care delivery to chemically dependent adults and adults who have a mental health diagnosis.  Must be knowledgeable and demonstrate competency in current computer skill.   Demonstrates ability to quickly assess situations and use sound judgment in applying medical or emergency intervention techniques.  Courteous when engaged in telephone conversation with staff and the public.  Demonstrates competency in surveillance, prevention and control of infections.  Demonstrates knowledge and competency in timely and accurate documentation of client care, and in accordance with SMABHC policy and procedure. Ability to communicate effectively verbally and in writing with clients, peers, professionals, community agencies and the general public.
